Care Process Model

Our Comprehensive Care Process Model

The Care Process Model begins with initial risk screening of children and adolescents for trauma history and PTSD to identify those who meet clinical cutoff criteria for full clinical assessment. Clinical assessment should be conducted using the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index. After clinical assessment, those who meet clinical criteria and are determined to require intervention should be assigned to evidence-based trauma-focused treatment. Monitoring treatment progress can be conducted using repeated measures of the symptom and functioning scales of the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index. End of treatment assessment allows for documentation of measurable, clinically meaningful treatment outcome.
