Dr. Cameo Stanick

Dr. Cameo Stanick

Vice President of Clinical Practice, Training, and Research and Evaluation

Dr. Cameo Stanick is a licensed clinical psychologist and Vice President of Clinical Practice, Training, and Research and Evaluation at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. Dr. Stanick received her Ph.D. from the University of Tulsa, where she focused her research and clinical work on childhood trauma, including completing her predoctoral internship at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2016, Dr. Stanick joined Hathaway-Sycamores and she and her team are committed to advancing the field by providing training, consultation, and technical assistance for evidence-based assessment, practice, and implementation science in children’s mental health.

Dr. Nick Ryan

Dr. Nick Ryan

Marriage and Family Therapist and psychoanalyst

Dr. Nick Ryan graduated with his Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy with specialization in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University and earned his doctorate from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in 2012. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Board-Certified Art Therapist and Certified Psychoanalyst. Currently, Dr. Ryan is Assistant Vice President for the Clinical Training Department at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. He worked in residential care for 20 years serving in various roles and also has specialty training and experience working with children and adolescents and gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals.

Gayle Wiler, M.A

Gayle Wiler, M.A

Assistant Vice President of Peer Support

Gayle Wiler, M.A., is the Assistant Vice President of Peer Support for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. She successfully completed the Peer Parent Specialist Certification from Georgia State Behavioral Health and the Los Angeles County Parent Partner Training Academy – Essential Skills Certification, and assisted with the development of PPTA-ES exam as a subject matter expert. Her history as a pioneer Family Partner, hired within the children’s mental health field 25 years ago, began after her son failed in multiple residential settings and transitioned home successfully with Wraparound services. This experience influenced her educational and professional pursuits in developing and implementing effective peer delivered programs and services across the country, and advancing family-driven, youth-guided care in system transformation.

Janine Quintero, Psy.D

Assistant Vice President of Evaluation and Research

Janine Quintero, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Assistant Vice President of Evaluation and Research for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. Dr. Quintero received her BA in Psychology from UCLA and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. Dr. Quintero has over 15 years in working with a non-profit in evaluating the effectiveness of an array of mental health services as well as prevention/early intervention and residential programs. Dr. Quintero oversees the Research and Evaluation department for Hathaway-Sycamores where the team is dedicated to working collaboratively with leadership to review organizational and clinical program effectiveness to target areas of improvement.

Rozlyn Kwong

Rozlyn Kwong

Clinical Trainer and Evidenced-Based Practice Coordinator

Rozlyn Kwong is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently the Clinical Trainer and Evidenced-Based Practice Coordinator at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles. Rozlyn holds multiple certifications to provide treatment, supervision, and training across multiple Evidenced-Based Practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for Traumatized Children. She is also endorsed by the California Center for Infant-Family & Early Childhood Mental Health as an Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist and a Reflective Practice Facilitator II. She is passionate in utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to support children and families in improving relational dynamics, to heal from trauma and relational losses, and to restore their potentials to be in meaningful relationships.

Senior Research Analyst on the Research and Evaluation

Mollie Sternberg, MPH, is a Senior Research Analyst on the Research and Evaluation Team at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. Mollie received her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the Boston University School of Public Health. Mollie’s notable past positions include Director of Clinical Quality Improvement at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Dorchester, Massachusetts, and Teach For America Alabama Corps Member as a Chemistry teacher. At Hathaway-Sycamores, Mollie is currently focused on integrating data-driven solutions with robust program applications to improve outcomes for youth and families receiving mental health services.

Eleanor Owen

Clinical Supervisor, Intern Coordinator, and Clinical Training Specialist

Eleanor Owen, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with children and families. Eleanor received her Master’s in Social Work from San Diego University in 2012. She started with Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services in 2010, and has worked in several direct service positions and programs. Currently, she holds dual roles as a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Training Specialist, and also coordinates the student intern program. Eleanor holds certifications to provide treatment, supervision, and/or training in multiple Evidence-Based Practices including Managing and Adapting Practice and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.

Clinical Training and Research Institute Coordinator

 Abjot Kaur “Abby” is the Clinical Training and Research Institute Coordinator for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. Abby manages the agency’s external training program through community public relations, technology, and web administration, and facilitation of training provision. She also supports the management of the Institute’s Continued Education (CE) program.

 

Trauma Informed Care Implementation Models, Assessment, and Practice

  • With more than 600,000 administrations worldwide, the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index is the gold standard in evidence-based assessment for childhood trauma exposure and post-traumatic stress reactions.

  • As the preferred training and consultation partner for Behavioral Health Innovations, Hathaway-Sycamores’ Research and Training Institute endeavors to assist agencies, providers, and school districts across the globe with their training needs on the use and scoring of the measure, as well as the integration of the assessment findings into clinical applications.

  • In partnership with the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index measures suite developers, Hathaway-Sycamores has launched a training series and other resources which serve as standardized and comprehensive aids to providers in ensuring that assessment findings are actionable.

The Hathaway-Sycamores Research and Training Institute is a Continuing Education vendor for the American Psychological Association (APA), the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), Group Home Administrator and the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADC).

Webinar: Using and Scoring the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index for DSM-5

The UCLA PTSD Reaction Index for DSM-5 (UCLA PTSD-RI) is an evidence-based, comprehensive measure to assess trauma exposure and post-traumatic stress symptoms. When working with trauma-exposed youth, assessment and progress monitoring of trauma exposure and symptoms is critical for making treatment decisions. Participants in this 1-hour webinar will get an in-depth introduction to the UCLA PTSD-RI, the scoring process, and options, as well as learn about interpretation and considerations for treatment planning.

CAMFT/APA CEUs offered*: 1 hour

Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for BBS Licensees under Provider Number 128435. HSCFS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. This course meets the qualifications for 1 hour of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
